A company he established in 2001, which has since grown to more than 930 outlets across Malaysia, Nepal, and India by the end of 31st December 2024. His resilience and strategic vision have been the driving forces behind the company's success, allowing it to thrive even during challenging economic conditions. Under his leadership, KK Super Mart has expanded into multiple sectors, including food & beverage, automotive accessories, hotel, resort, property development, investment and health & skincare manufacturing.

In 2024, Datuk Seri Dr. Chai was honored with the SEBA Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Tuan Yang Terutama Sabah and The Great Asia Outstanding Corporation Award by our Deputy Prime Minister, recognizing his exemplary leadership and business acumen. These accolades reflect his influence and contributions to the business landscape.

In addition to his business achievements, Datuk Seri Dr. Chai has been dedicated to civic leadership. He serves as the Chairman of the Federal Territory Honorary RELA Club, a role he has held since 2013, contributing to the development of Malaysia’s volunteer corps. He is also the President of the Malaysia Chinese Assembly Hall (MCAH) and President of TiRatana Welfare Society Malaysia, where he continues to lead impactful initiatives for the betterment of the community.
